The charts below show an analysis of the evaluations received from my classes as shown by both the CELCIS written Evaluation Form and the ICES report.  I noticed that my teaching probably improved from 2013 to 2014-15 because I made changes based on the feedback I received from these evaluations.  After hearing from the elementary students in 2013, I spoke more slowly, repeated questions, took time for each student, and made sure every student felt valued and was engaged.

  1. What was the most helpful to you in this class?

The patience of the teacher;  The quotes and summaries; The Color Vowel Chart, note taking, and presentations were helpful for us;  The most helpful thing for me was I feel comfortable to ask my teacher to help me; Everything was amazing: the lecture and taking notes and Miss Judith – she is the best;  The quotes that we brought and explained; A lot of writing; It helped us so much; My teacher taught us how to understand the sentences and how to write a summary;  The vocabulary that we learned;  Reading, quotes, writing topics;  How to do research using the WMU library and citations; Note taking and reading strategies;  Reading and Writing, I wrote everyday;  You, coz you always to help me and to fix my mistake- Thank you;  Everything was very useful; Homework and tests; Many chances to speak and have discussions;  Teacher learn me how I can do the presentation;  I feel that my speaking and listening have improved;  My class and my teacher are wonderful;  The teacher used different and new ways to understand the topic;  She learned well, help us to acquire better grades;  My teacher is really friendly and she really cares about homework.

  1. What should be changed about this class?

The book, Inside Reading — It’s helpful but the exercises are bad; We should write a little more; More practice list for students;  Do not play lectures before class.  This listening is useful in the classes.  Please play again in class; Nothing should be changed because everything is perfect. Nothing (13x);

I love my teacher, she is the best in CELCIS;  Mrs. Buchanan is an excellent teacher and she helped me a lot;  The teacher has wide experience about how to communicate and engage everyone in the class; She is very organized, clear and helpful;  I love the teacher a lot; I like this class because very useful and Miss Judith very nice teacher;  Thank you Ms Judith; She is a great teacher;  Excellent class with the best teacher;  My teacher worked hard to learn us and always explain new material to understand;  I want to say thank you to the teacher because she helped us so much to be good in her class.  Thank you;  This class is good.  I learned a lot in this class.  It’s very good for me; This teacher was the best class for me.  I hope this teacher teach me again; It was very very very good; It’s great!!  This is a class good.  I learned a lot from this class.  I think it is very good; Miss Judith is good teacher.
